What stays in your browser

The Corral uses browser storage for small quality-of-life features. Depending on which pages you use, this can include:

  • Whether you already voted in a weekly poll, plus a random ID scoped to that poll.
  • Advice posts, saved advice, kudos, and posting limits on local-only advice features.
  • Simple feature feedback, such as whether a weekly prompt felt accurate.

This information is not sent to The Corral unless the feature description below says otherwise.

What can leave your browser

FeatureServiceWhat is sent
Weekly poll Google Apps Script The poll ID, selected answer, and a random ID used only for that weekly poll. The site does not send your browser user-agent string.
Feedback and submissions Google Forms Nothing is sent until you open and submit a Google Form. Google’s own terms and privacy practices apply there.
Community Q&A GitHub via Giscus Loading the embedded comments connects to Giscus/GitHub. Posting requires GitHub and is public.
Official resource links SCU and other linked sites Nothing is sent until you follow a link. The destination site’s privacy practices then apply.
