Advice & support hub
Need help figuring out ECP?
Ask questions, read answers, and browse short tips from people actually living through SCU ECP. This isn’t official advising, just students helping students survive grad school.
Choose where you want to go: send a question to Ask the Corral, or browse collected tips from current and past ECP students.
📝 Ask in the Corral
Got a question about practicum, classes, time management, jobs, or “am I the only one feeling like this?” Send it to Ask the Corral. Feel free to pick questions and post student-written answers in a Q&A style blog.
Not therapy. Not official advising. Just honest answers and things we wish someone had told us.
⭐ Tips from ECP students
Short, practical advice on surviving ECP: first-year expectations, practicum, the 45-unit track, licensure track, and just… staying a person while doing all this.
Includes mini-guides for new students, practicum planning, and returning student sanity.
What this hub is (and isn’t)
This is a student-run space: it’s for peer advice, not official policies or mental health treatment. For program rules, use the ECP website and your handbook. For mental health crises or ongoing support, please reach out to CAPS or a licensed provider instead of relying only on this page.
- Use Ask the Corral for specific questions or “am I the only one…?” feelings.
- Use Tips from ECP students for quick survival hacks and practicum reality checks.
- Use official ECP / SCU sites when someone can put your enrollment, loans, or license on the line.
